Situated in the White Mountain Regions, North Conway is well known for its breathtaking scenery, year around outdoor adventures, and tax-free shopping. The Colonial Motel is strategically located on Route 16 just 0.5 miles south of North Conway Village. Guests of the motel can take a leisurely walk downtown for a train ride, dinner or tax-free shopping.

Downhill skiing is just minutes away at Cranmore Mountain Resort, Attitash Bear Peak, Wildcat, Black Mountain, Loon Mountain, and Tuckerman's Ravine. Cross-country and snowshoe enthusiasts can enjoy the trails at Jackson Ski Touring Center or Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring Center. The area also offers fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, ice climbing, and snowmobiling. For the less adventurous, there is tax-free shopping at the outlets along Route 16. The motel is a 2.5 hour ride from Boston and 1.5 hours from Portland, Maine.
